You don’t have to become something you’re not
to be better than you were.

Happy Father’s Day

Pop, babbo, 爸爸, ayah, אַבָּא, papá, ابي, daddy, dad….father.

They come in all styles: There’s “the boss,” whose word is law and don’t bother to negotiate. The “girl dad,” who supports his daughters in hair braiding, soccer, ballet, and all their hopes and dreams. The “don’t look at me, ask your mother” dad, who, in general feels out of his element raising kids. Or, your own Dad or Father-Figure with his unique style!

Single father, one of two fathers, “surprise you’re going to be a dad,” dad, older dad…so many more, all doing their best in a role for which there is no training!

So, in honor of Father’s Day and beyond, Food For The Soul will be focusing on Dad in an ongoing series, so please watch this space.

Today, let’s kickstart our dialogue with this question:

What’s the best advice you ever got from your father or father-figure –
directly or indirectly?

We invite you to send your feedback to Food For The Soul.  Let’s get this Dad party started!  We look forward to hearing from you!  Thank you!

Wholeheartedly,
Your Food For The Soul Team
